Rocky Ripple Emergency Management & Community Emergency Response Team (RREM/CERT)

The Rocky Ripple Emergency Management committee (RREM) is sponsored by the Town Board. The committee was chartered to create, update, and implement a plan to secure the community of Rocky Ripple in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is comprised of volunteers that work with the RREM to ensure the community remains in a state of readiness for emergencies and natural disasters. The CERT Program provides education for people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may affect their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, basic search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
